All residents of Edson and Yellowhead County are eligible for a library card. All you need to register is a piece of photo ID. Residents under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian present at the time of registration. During the re-opening period we are limited by social distancing on public computers. If you must have a computer at a set time we recommend pre-booking by calling the library at 780-723-6691; sessions are limited to 60 minutes - if you require a longer time for resume work or filling out online forms please let staff know and they can book you a longer time slot. Users may print from public computer stations for a small fee. Black and white pages are $0.25/each and colour pages are $1.00/each. Photocopies are available in both black and white ($0.25/page) and colour ($1.00/page). The library has a scanner available for public use. If you require assistance please ask a staff member.
Times must be booked in advance with the Library Manager. Normal exam times are from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm (exams to be finished by 3:00 pm). Times outside of these hours may be arranged, extra costs may be applicable depending on the situation. Cost: $40.00/hour If you do not need an "in person" proctor, you can rent the room to write your exam. Rooms are available during normal library hours, with all exams being finished a half hour before the library closes. Cost: $25.00/hour or $75.00/day
At this time there is an additional $25 charge for each booking. This charge is to cover the additional cost of sanitization. We have a meeting room available for rentals of all kinds, from children's birthday parties to meetings to classes and beyond.
