Sep. 04, 2024

EDSON, AB – August 12, 2024 – The Edson & District Public Library is thrilled to announce that it has received a $10,000 grant from Pembina Pipeline Corporation in support of their Furniture Fundraising Drive.

“It is great to have the opportunity to support communities in our operating area” said Marty Anderson, Area Supervisor Alberta Mainline with Pembina Pipeline Corporation when he presented the donation to the library on July 24, 2024.

“This wonderful donation from Pembina Pipeline Corporation will be used to purchase lower and more accessible shelving for our book collection” said Robin Corser, Library Board Chair. The library is currently fundraising to replace the existing bookshelves with lower ones to provide an improved library experience for our patrons and better sight lines throughout the library for our staff.

“This $10,000 donation moves us even closer to our $250,000 goal to purchase shelving, equipment and furniture for the renovated library. Thanks to the wonderful generosity of Pembina Pipeline Corporation and so many others in our community we have now reached a fundraising total of $155,000 to date,” said Robin.
